You can set up a PPTP VPN account in OS X as follows:
STEP 1
Open System Preferences.
STEP 2
Select Network under Internet & Wireless.
STEP 3
Add a new network by selecting “+” below the network list.
STEP 4
Under Interface, select VPN. Under VPN Type, select PPTP, Set Service Name as you see fit. For example, “TemProxy”. Click “Create”.
STEP 5
Set Server Address and Account Name, Click “Authentication Settings…”
STEP 6
Select Password for User Authentication and Click “Advanced…”
STEP 7
Make sure “Send all traffic over VPN connection” is checked, and click OK.
STEP 8
From the gear drop-down under the network list, select “Set Service Order…” Drag and drop the services to ensure that your VPN connection is at the top of the Service Order list, and click OK.
